A prefabricated outdoor substation combining the HV ring main unit, the distribution transformer and the LV switchgear in one factory-assembled enclosure.
The package substation is the single most cost-effective way to deliver a complete distribution point to a site with limited civil works. Because the assembly and the wiring are done in the workshop, the site scope reduces to foundation, cable termination and commissioning.
The YB12 is a three-in-one outdoor package substation: the high-voltage ring main unit, the distribution transformer and the low-voltage switchgear are installed inside a single prefabricated enclosure and connected in the factory. The customer receives a complete, tested distribution point that only needs cable connection on site, which removes most of the civil work and shortens the project critical path.
High-voltage energy enters through the ring main unit section, where a load-break switch and fuse combination protects the transformer. The transformer steps the voltage down to 400 V and feeds the LV switchgear section, which carries the incoming breaker, the outgoing feeders and, where required, an automatic capacitor bank for reactive compensation. The enclosure uses a double-layer composite panel construction for thermal insulation and ventilation, and can be finished in stainless steel, aluminium, cold-rolled steel or colour-coated sheet.

Values shown are typical ratings for this product family. Final ratings, dimensions and component selection are confirmed in the technical agreement and the order drawing; routine factory test reports are supplied with each unit.
The transformer rating normally governs the whole package, because it fixes the enclosure dimensions and the outgoing feeder count that physically fits. Next, confirm the high-voltage arrangement: if the site is fed by a ring, the HV section needs an incoming and an outgoing ring unit; if it is a single feed, a transformer unit alone will do. Then fix the outgoing feeder schedule against the actual load list, and add the compensation only after the transformer rating is settled, since the compensation size is normally expressed as a proportion of the transformer capacity.
A high-voltage ring main unit with load-break switch and fuse, a distribution transformer, a low-voltage section with incoming breaker and outgoing feeders, metering and optional reactive compensation — all factory-assembled into one enclosure, pre-wired and factory-tested.
Standard from 100 kVA to 1600 kVA, with SCB dry type or S13 / S20 / S22 sealed oil-immersed transformers according to the project specification.
Yes. The enclosure is painted in any RAL colour to match site or utility requirements, and the material can be specified as stainless steel, aluminium, cold-rolled steel or colour-coated sheet.
The unit is delivered pre-wired and factory-tested. On site only cable connection is required — there is no assembly work, only the foundation and the terminations.
Yes. The high-voltage ring main unit can be equipped with an FTU to provide the four-remote functions of telecontrol, telesignal, telemetering and teleadjustment.
IP33 as standard, IP44 on request. The factory altitude rating is up to 2000 m, which is higher than the common 1000 m industry figure.
10 days for a standard configuration and 15 days for a customized arrangement, counted from deposit plus confirmed technical agreement plus approved drawing.
Send us the rated voltage, rated current or capacity, quantity and destination country, plus any single-line diagram. We reply with a configuration proposal and a quotation — usually within 24 hours of receiving complete technical information.
